Not a Problem man

Im gonna do it with trial and error ...

the wires that are actually goin into the socket are the positive wires 8 adn 27
the one thats goin to the side is hte negative..

the negative to the negative ..
and then other two i just gotta test and see ..

Re: arite thanx sooo much

YOu can get the socket from Pep Boys...NOT Home Depot. ONly modification you need to do is trim of a little piece of tab that's getting in the way. You will see what I'm talking about when you have the socket and you try to plug in. Everything match up except for that little tab.

doug's way will keep the turn signal on when ever you turn on the lights. for turning it really dosn't blink on and off, what happens is the briter watt will come on with the 8 watt. what i have now is my blinkers alternate (look pretty cool) but i am now trying to also get my turn to say on and alternate...i'm trying to see if i can keep the sockets i have w/o the dual.... we're on fire now

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A NEW SOCKET!!!!! Just switch with the corner light. Modify the socket slightly to get it to fit, and then switch your bumper turn socket with your corner socket. Then you will have 27W bright corners plus constant 8W bumper turns and they will blink 27W bright!

Okay, I meant that you take the dual element bulb and socket from the corner light and switch it with the single element bulb and socket from your bumper light. If anyone needs to know which wires to solder to which, I will go and take apart my car to see for you. And, yes, the 97-99 Max's have a dual filament socket and bulb in the corner, they just don't have a wire going to the bright 27W filament.

i understand ... the wires..

that i did with the corner lights ... like i did the opposite of how it came stock ..
like the wires i switched them so brown went with black and vice versa and then negativ wire went with the negative wire..

in this situation the signallin lite i am gonna do the same thing???

and the side bumper lite is soo small how is that gonna signal 27 watts?

Well, the side light will not blink at all. You just leave that alone. There isn't a way for it to blink 27W because the design of the lens won't accept a dual filament bulb. What you end up doing is running a wire from the constant corner light to the 8W part of the dual filament harness you switched with the corner light. You can only have a constant 8W bumper light that blinks 27W if you switch the two harnesses, meaning the corner light harness and the bumper light harness. Basically, since the turn signal in your bumper is a single element 27W bulb, and all you want is a 27W constant in your corner light, you put it there, and since you want a constant 8W in your bumper that blinks 27W, you put the dual filament harness in the bumper that was in the corner light.

Here's a pic of what it will look like with your lights on, and BTW, I don't know why my sidemarker looks purple! Arghhhh...stupid cheap-a** hyperwhite 8W!
