Stolen Max. and Prevention

This is just a general guestion to those whoever got their Max. stolen or any car in general. What security features did you have on the car besides the factory alarm when the vehicle was stolen. I'm curious to know if there is a new bread of car thieves out their in which the Maxima Community is not aware of.

I.e. The Club, cut off switch, pulled fuse, aftermarket alarm.

I hope I will never be able to answer this question, but it’s a very good topic!

Right, some crackhead kid in the bronx is gonna know a better way... Why don't we just all list all the theft prevention devices in our vehicles... Then, when I can't get a car I want to steal to start, I'll just pull out my handy list printed off of Maxima.org and go down the checklist... bingo, killswitch! Right where he said it would be, car is mine now.... There is a reason you don't see a forum on the net dedicated to theft prevention, who do you think would be reading it?

No matter what you have in your car, all they have to do is tow your max. Unless you plan on taking your rims with you everytime you leave it, theres no way to stop them.

Well, this is how I understand the question: if your car was stolen, let us know what anti-theft devises you installed that did not help you. Another words, it’ll be a list of what does not work rather than a list of what works.

That is excatly the point. Lets be general to the concept of anti-theft devices. Did you use a club and somehow the thief was able to steal your car. Please don't say how they did it b/c then you open a new can of worms. Common sense. just say Yea. I used a club. Them damn Punks still got my car. Everyone knows about the tows, but so many people in NY is steeling cars now it would be good from a statistical standpoint to know if this was some professional thief or just some regular jo shmo.

Nothing is fool-proof. The club isn't gonna stop a flatbed.
