Helical LSD diffs
I've put a few Quaifes in RSXs and they work great, even better than the OEM HLSD that Honda puts in the JDM Integras (rsx here). Putting one in a Maxima shouldn't take more than 3 hours worth of work if you have done trans work before. I can do a clutch on a Maxima in bout 1 hour, and taking the tranny apart is a 20 min afair. I would be interested in one as well, but not from OBX.

It would almost seem worth it if i was all out of modifications to do to the max.
Yeah, it doesn't seem that unreasonable considering that you're getting a torque-biasing differential of the highest possible quality, backed by a lifetime guarantee even with race use.
The only thing is that if OBX actually pulls off a $600 price on their diffs, for the price of a Quaife one-off you could buy an OBX, have it installed, have it break or not work right, and then repeat the process up to two more times before finding one that does work. OBX's failure rate may be higher than what most people consider acceptable, but it can't possibly be so bad that only one in three diffs will work right. And, hell... if you're doing it yourself, you could go through at least 5 diffs like that. Sure there's time spent in the shop, but that might be offset by not having to wait however long for Quaife to tool up and custom-build your order (or not, depending on your situation).
Now, if enough people went in and decided to buy Quaifes, the price per unit would drop off sharply. But considering how long it took Cattman to sell the initial 30 at ~$1300 a pop, I don't see that happening...
