Please help , car shakes alot

K guys, i don't know whats wrong with my car, it shakes pritty bad after 2k till about 5 k, in every gear except 1st for some reason.

The shaking is when i drive with the throttle open, as soon as i push the clutch in or put the car in neutral it goes away (as im rolling of course)

I changed my axles and i thought i fixed the problem?

2-3 weeks later the problem came back and just got worse agian.
-Not sure now if it was just cheap axels or cause my car was slammed.

Did the axles go bad again or is it my tranny ?

I checked all motor mounts and couldn't find anything broken or cracked so i know its not related to that.

What can i do too check the axles, they dont seem to have any play in them and how can i check the tranny
Help me out guys.

i can rev it and the motor looks fine, all mounts look fine.

I even did the test were you put the car in gear give some gas and hold up the ebrake, nothing out of the ordinary happens.

It sucks cause i keep driving the car cause i have nothign else, and i dont want it to break down on me somewere....

Your car shakes under acceleration? Does it shake in 1st gear at all like more near redline? Mine did this as well. If you bought AutoZone axles or something similar then this is your problem. It is cheap *** ****.

My car also shook worse than the earthquake in pakistan. I purchase driver and passenger axles from Raxles.com and the car now rides down the road smooth as butter!! It is also not because you are lowered. I am riding on JICs which I have set very low. The vibration is occuring from worn shafts. I definetly noticed this when I took out my passenger side Autozone axle. There was so much play in the shaft it was ridiculous. The Raxle one was very stiff could barely move the shaft.

Buy quality the first time, you'll pay high dollar but you will no doubt be happy in the end. I know I am. Raxles axles are far more superior to Autozones, just looking at them you can tell the quality is a hell of a lot better.

those prices were shipped. driver side is $120 w/o shipping and passenger is $150 w/o shipping.

They also give you a pre-paid label to return the cores. Just put the label on the box and go to your local UPS store.

With the autozone driver axle I had, it would slide in and out about a 1/4 of an inch. So I first bought the driver side axle from raxles. The raxles version has this extra ring that hugs around the oil seal which the AZ axle did not. The raxle one doesn't move a bit.

My passenger side was all the way in and bolted up fine. The joint was just shot and moved around more than it should have. The raxle version is solid, no major difference in the looks of it between the AZ and raxle like ther was with the driver side, it was just built more solid.

It is also a smidge shorter than the AZ I was finally able to put the center cap back on my rim.

Car Shakes

What up guys, i need your help. My 2001 maxima seems to vibrate in park, it didnt do this until i took it to ****ty *** firestone to have it checked out. It is a company car coming off lease and i took it there to have everything done to it that was needed, for free. When i got the car back i noticed that it started to vibrate a lot while in park, i also noticed that it was idling a little low..( half way below 1,000 rpm) Could this be the problem?

k probem fixed, turned out to be an axle, took it to a friend that does alightments, put the car on the rack and it was the passanger axle, had a wierd movement in the outer joint...

Ne ways i raised the car up about a half inch now , the lead alightment guy said it was cause my car was to low and the beating of the 19s, the drop and me driving like an a$$ was to much......

I just hope i didnt mess anyting up driving on it for so long, guess well have to wait and see.

ya he had it slammed.

But back on topic. maxspeed, I don't think its because you were too low well possibily, but I think it is due to cheap rebuilt crap that couldn't take the load from being so low.

So far my driver side axle from Raxles has been on my car for about 4 weeks no problems so far. My passenger one has been on for about 2 weeks now, and no problems. I'm ridin on JICs and have them set at 2 finger gap, actually slightly less than that. I can barely fit my 2 fingers in the gap.

Your passenger side axle had the same outer joint problem like mine.

gettin new axles put in this saturday. raxles is pricy, but for all the feedback off the org, there was no question about it. I was wondering if the axle seals HAD to be replaced, or if the raxles come with new seals.

also, i have that annoying vibrating problem and i'm hoping it was the axles. would changing the swaybar bushigns and endlinks down there help alleviate any shaking? what else should I get done while the axles are being put in?

raxles does not supply new seals. you can go to your local dealership and get new seals for ~$10. If the seals look worn they should be replaced or if fluid is leaking of course, but they don't have to be.
