Whats wrong with my hids?

I have an aftermarket conversion kit, not sure what brand because it came with the car. The drivers side lights up for about 20 seconds and then blinks a little bit and shuts off completely. Any idea if its teh bulb, ballast, ignitor or just the wiring?

Doesn't sound like it would be the wiring to me. If that were the case, I doubt it would come on at all.

Are you running an aftermarket wiring harness to power both ballasts? If not that might be the problem. The kits say plug and play but you need a harness regardless. One ballast can pull over 60 amps at start up. The other problem is that it is a "kit". If there is no warranty you are up the river without a paddle. My motto is" No kit, retrofit". Anyone wanting hid at all needs to go to hidplanet.com/forums and read everything in the hiduniversity section to become more educated about it. The oem parts are cheaper even though they are used and outlast the brand new "kits" no matter what ANYONE tells you.
