Ouch thats expensive Mike. On meets down here in S.A. I can get a Dyno day for 35-40 bucks for 2 runs. IF you ever want to do it again let me know.

Unfortunately that is the going rate around>>

here. I've heard several people outside of Austin say they can get 2 runs for as cheap as $30 in Houston, but they didn't respond to my request with specifics. If I had to drive to SA to save $9, I'd need another excuse to go as well. 8-)

Anyway, you can rest assured if I had a quote from another Texas shop in writing that I could hit them with, I would bargain for a lower price with one of the two shops here in Austin. Can you (or anyone from Texas) get a written quote for dyno runs that is cheaper in order for me to attempt to get these shops in line with what I hear through word of mouth the other shops are charging?

I can say that all the groups I have spoken to who have organized dyno days here in Texas recently have been paying in the $40 to $50 range.

We have had many meets, mainly FBODY ones at TEXAS JAM here in San Antonio. There a performance shop, and also do imports as well now. They do for RWD apps, 35-40 bucks. When we had the MAXIMA meet down here they did use for around the same. Call Texas Jam ask for Mike Marillo, he owns the shop, and owns one of the fastest mustangs in the country as well. But he knows me, just tell him Russell Zotz that drives a 2000 Maxima told me to call you), and he can set you up with some good GDs..... Just remind him I was the one that helped do the LAST GD Dyno and connect the cars to the dyno jet with him...that should ring a bell.

Nope, Texas Jam was bought out by the Hot Rod Shop several months. Then the Hot Rod Shop bought out FPS and moved out there. So no more dyno here. The dyno in Austin would probably be a good idea.
