I'm buying a Y pipe for my max, do i need a higher flow catalytic converter? I don't want to add anything to my exhaust other then this and maybe a b-pipe just cuz i want more power. Is the catalytic converter from say Random technologies worth it?

There is a place I found called www.mufflertech.com that has free flow cats, very much like the Random units but at a fraction of the cost. They can hook up with a cat that will allow you to run 2 1/2 plumbing from the y-pipe back, instead of the cat back. Makes a nice difference. I have bought from them twice and would do biz with them again. Tell them Austin sent you. And no I'm not affiliated with them. Just a good company to do business with.

Ok but even from your thread i cannot tell, is this worth getting? I've read from maximadriver.com that in most cases there are no HP gains, so is there any need for me to get a high flow one or just keep my stock?

My butt dyno says go for the high flow cat. There's not a lot of difference, but every little bit helps.
