I asked for a reason - you'd be surprised how many people drive with fogs only.

Yea, my fog rewire is on all the time, until it's dark out.

if the light was x amount of inches from the ground then maybe you could get away with it. in maine i belive the head light can be no less than 24" from the ground.

Maybe it's for the same reason most of the vehicles driving this way are trucks/SUVs.

BTW, legally we can drop our cars 8 inches before the headlights are too low to the ground, at least in most states. How cool is that

Here it is:

The point is extract the boneheads who think it's the cool thing to do. I see plenty of cars doing this on a nightly basis, just curious to see if the Maxima crew was among them.

I guess I should have started yet another thread asking preference of foglight color.

+1...I prefer to see where I'm driving. I can't turn my fogs on by themselves anyway and I think it would look strange.

Besides that there are a lot of people who drive even without headlights or anything on, or with highbeam and when you tell them to turn it on/off at a stop, they don't even know where they should look

I drive with my fogs on all day long and both headlights and fogs at night to answer the origonal question

It does look cool but I don't do it, makes no sense. I usually run the fogs (with headlights) at dusk and the switch to the halos...

i guess the questions is how many people with hid fogs drive with them only, if u were using normal fogs u couldnt see anything but with hids, theyre brighter than most headlights.

Brighter, but still, the beam of foglights are intended for close and wide. Driving 65mph w/fogs does you no good. You're definitely over-driving your lights, which like others have said, is dangerous.

In addition, since the beams are low, you're not illuminating signs on the side of the road, which may warn of trouble ahead.

Unless, as venturous pointed out, your fogs aren't adjusted correctly. For more information, check out Piaa's explaination: http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/LampSelectionGuide.html http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/LightAimingGuide.html

Nice ride Polak.

As for me, I almost never use my fogs at all. OEM-wise, they're pretty useless IMO.
