HID Warantee Info

I'm posting this due to an experience I just had with a customer. A 2003 350Z with D2R HID bulbs (list $400ish per piece).

Long story short, upon calling the Nissan dealership, I learned that there is a 36month 36,000 miles warantee on HID lightbulbs.

I'm almost positive that this would also apply to other Nissans with HID's, but I'm not entirely sure.

Hopefully this info will help someone, as these bulbs are rather expensive, and I would not have expected warantee coverage on light bulbs.

$400 PER bulb????? This is exactly why I don't take my car anywhere near a dealership.

whats the warranty for really, I've never had a bulb blow out and I thought HID where suppost to last longer then halogens,

I never like hearing owners complain how a light went out and was replace and now the two headlights don't match

Well a warranty for anything is there "just in case." Are you complaining about it?
