Drag Racing Results
I went to Hattiesburg MS today to Hub City Drag Way, $15 for head to head racing from 2p-9p. I took out the spare tire and jack and al other lose junk. I was on about 3/8 of a tank. It was 95F!!!, 82% humidity and 400' above sea level. I made 23 pass's!!! Street tires at 30psi. Stock clutch. Launching at 3k with an easy clutch release.
Best 2 NA runs
14.890 @ 93.975mph w/2.171-60', .688RT
14.927 @ 92.427mph w/2.138-60', .878RT
Best 2 Nitrous runs
13.894 @ 101.643mph w/2.190-60', .705RT
13.990 @ 105.352mph w/2.195-60', .896RT
Suprisingly enough my stock clutch held the 100hp shot in 4th gear. However I think a better clutch would help allot, not to mention some drag radials.
A few other guys went too, thay ran pretty good! I had a blast.

Thanks guys! I was shocked. I was wondering what those 55 gallon drums that said VHT were their for? The track was way hot, so I thinked that helped allot also. The funny thing is I was spraying in 1st after it hooked up. If you notice my NA 60's are faster. I guess 2.1 is about the best I'll see w/street tires.

I was granney shifting very slowly with the nitrous, I didnt want to blow my clutch up. I also use a push button that I have to push and hold for the nitrous to activate, its a saftey thing. If I just put a master switch and let the window switch and full throttle switches handle it I might run a little better because their is a delay for the time it takes me to push and hold the button.
I bet Jamie ran that time on a nice cool northeasten day not in 95f. Drag radials would knock 1/2 a second off I bet. I had 2.1sec 60's so dropping 0.2sec to a 1.9sec 60' would help allot.
My second best ET with the nitrous was 13.990 but with 105.3mph trap speed, thats moving it on down the road!!! I think Sleeper has run 13.3 @101 w/1.9-60' with drag radials. So I can see how a 120hp shot could get a 12.8et.
But a 120hp dry shot IMHO is not safe with out an a/f controller and/or larger injectors, not to mention a few degrees or ignition retard. With my 100shot I was @12.5/1 A/F ratio with the wide band OT on the dyno putting down 257hp & 284lb/tq at the wheels. Some day I might try the 120 but for now I'm saving up for a clutch!

I did lower the fronts a bit, I run in the streets with ~34 in the front. When I went to 30 and got 2.1sec 60's I thought that was good enough. I would have liked to bump the rears up to 35+ but I forgot...
Thanks mtrai760, you'll love the nitrous its like crack!!!

Shall I dream a little and say low 14's NA and 12.999 on Nitrous by 2002. Why not

That sounds respectable to me
Keep us informed on the progress, I hope to be right there around those same #'s, just be sure to keep the A/F mixture right we don't want a kaboom. Are you going to go with the 370 CC stock 300Z TT injectors? they are about 100.00 a piece new, plus a JWT ECU to complement it, and I think you should have enought fuel.

I'm looking at doing the 5g intake swap. I have both shop manuals
and it looks do-able. The intake should arrive to me this week. So that should do it with the NA numbers.Slap some drag radials and a clutch on top of that I'd be good to go.
I also just bought a set of used 95 heads...

dude, drop the front tires down to 24 and see what happens... I bet you can pull 2.0 60s or better... you need that surface area for a good launch, this is the easy way you'll bring your times down.

I'll do it. Its worth a shot. I have 225's on 16x8's so I'm leary of cuping in the center of the contact patch. But WTF 2.0's would be nice.

I have 225/45/17 Sumotomos and I run 26psi in front. I pull 2.0 60'(206) my best. I have auto so its a little easier. Nice runs though. What was your 1/8mile time and speed. Cause I run low 14s 14.09@98 my best and I run a 40shot. My 1/8mile is high 8s@79mph
