I can eat a double burger with cheese, change lanes (with signal), make a call, while changing gears.

Wow that deserves respect, I can’t eat a double burger, even in my kitchen, without getting my hands dirty.

Learning how to move off and not stall is the hardest part of learning to drive manual. Getting the feel for that 'bite' as the car gearing engages without letting the clutch out too fast or over-revving and looking like an a.s.s. is hard to being with. But becomes pretty easy after about 4 or 5 tries.

The hard a.s.s. part is gridlock traffic (can you spell bunny-hop?) and hill starts on really steep hills in heavy traffic - that's not fun in anyone's language.

I've seen my mate Chris talk on his mobile with his right hand, eat a protein bar, turn the indicator lever and shift with his left, while holding the steering wheel with his knees and negotiate the pedals. I didn't think much of it at the time until I tried it at the same corner about 2 weeks later and nearly drove into a parked car...LOL.

I can smoke a cigarette, drink a cup of coffee with no cup holders and tie a tie in a manual in moderate traffic! Ha!

I won't say manual is easy, but it's rewarding. You get hooked. My wife just converted to manual a year ago and she swears she'll never go back. And if she can do it, my friend, you can do it! After a the first few weeks, you don't even think about what you're doing, it just becomes natural. Besides, think of all those times you asked a friend to borrow his car and you couldn't because it was a manual. Now you can drive other people's manual cars and use the "but i have a manual" excuse to keep other people from driving yours!

It is easy 2nd but like driving full stop bro it's easy to drive but farking hard to drive well.

A lot of people (particularly young men who have just got their license - I know, I was one...and still am sometimes) thinks that if they can step on the gas pedal they're automatically (pardon the obvious gearbox pun) Michael Schumacher - but it doesn't work that way.

Stick is easy to learn mate but is harder to learn well than automatic.

For example, crashing through the gears without touching the clutch is something you only do if you are confident in doing it (and have high enough rpms) or you end up with no car. Same with heel to toe gear changes (brake and gas pedal at same time) - easy at low speeds but try that at freeway plus speeds or in tight corners at speed.

Wasn't attacking you 2nd btw mate. Peace.
