any one delt with stillens lip kit warrenty

Stillens site says they have a lifetime warrenty on their urethane aero kits, and i broke a huge chunk out of mine. before i go calling them up and explaining whats going on i wanted to know if anyone has experience with this. i dont think i have ever herd of someone getting a replacement or credit for a new one.

and before some one says "just take it to a body shop....." i work next to one and they said urethane is hard to repair, the make a repair glue (or something) but it may not hold. basically its a crap shoot.

Yup, I contacted the place where I got mine. I had to take pics and send it to him. Then he made me cut the part number off the lip and send it in to stillen. Then I got a new lip.
This was a few years back though

what was the reason for the broken chunk? if you were hoppin curbs (which probably wasn't the case), i'm sure they won't validate the warantee. so think about what you tell them before you call them. also, if you do end up getting another one, do you think they'd pay for getting it painted?? you should ask about that at the same time.

they give lifetime warranty only if it wasnt involved in collision. but being that you have a chunk missing obviously means it broke and wasnt smashed to smithorenes by a accident. i dont think they cover paint though.

A lifetime warantee is a lifetime warantee. If being in an accident if the only thing that will void it, then everything esle is covered.

Awaiting to hear results. I would purcahse a lip from stillen if they will honor this lifetime warantee with minimal stress.

I've tried to deal with Stealin' and they basically told me to ish a brick....mine broke from driving in the snow last winter....but it was the side piece and the car was not involved in an accident. The fact that it got super cold the urethane just snapped whereas if it was warmer, it would have been fine. Their customer service leaves alot to be desired...hope it works out for you.

thats what happend, just like nupe said. it was freezing out and i must have hit some ice, im not sure since ther was nothing around really. i pulled into the driveway and herd a huge snap/crunch. i said, thats got to hurt. i knew the lip was broken. sure enough the part below the foglight broke off clean. i still have the piece, and i was planning on fixing it.

i installed and painted it myself for a $1 so thats no issue. as a matter of fact the paint stuck like glue and didnt flake off at all.

Ola, that's how I broke mine. But I was lucky and wasn't dealing w/ Stillen directly. When I got my, I bought it through Phuong(sp)(got rice?) remember him? Yea, he dealt w/ them and I got a new one. They don't cover paint also

It helps buying from a reputable stillen dealer because they can handle the situation for you (redlinemax, southwest autoworks, avalon racing)

it is what it is...I'll find something to do with it...but like I said...their customer service sucks....a Stillen Lip is a Stillen Lip...no one else makes it with the same id numbers that they do, so it is easily verifiable as their product. Nevertheless....Stealin' is
