What type of wax do you use?

What's your favorite wax and why? Any waxes you hate? I personally use Turtle Wax, but have heard it's not the best, any ideas?

Mothers because it's cheap and works good enough for me. The only crappy part is that getting all the wax off after it hardens is a pain in the ****.

I've used the Pro Honda Spray Clean and Polish. Same stuff that I use on my bike. I'd rather spend my time doing something else than waxing and polishing all day. This takes just minutes and holds my car until I can spend some real time cleaning and polishing all afternoon. Best thing about the spray is that there is no wax build-up around emblems or behind panels.

Most of the turtle wax stuff I have ever run across is not very good. I do use Turtle Wax car wash however.

A lot of detail oriented enthusiasts use Meguiars, S100, and other high end waxes. I want to try Meguiars NXT wax this summer on my z.....I have used all kinds, and currently have Meguiars professional #7 yellow wax (tan bottle stuff)....its pretty good too.

What, no zaino cultists around here ? I'm sure they're hiding out in the detailing section.

I've been using meguiar's and mother's lately. They do well enough.

Different waxes work well for different color cars, you might find a more appropriate answer by asking people in the detailing forum who have a similar color(IE Black, Red, Dark or light colors.) what they have had success with. But with my gold max I have had great success with washing all the wax off with a higher concentration of wash, then using a clay bar on the whole car, and then I finish it off with some Meguiars NXT( I've gone through just about every different combo of Megiuars on my car and NXT is easy and has almost the deepest "Wet" look.

After having used a fair number of products, I've settled on Zaino because I have yet to find a product that can match it's shine, depth and durability.
