I came back from visiting my relatives in Russia last weekend, and saw a few Maximas there in 2 different cities. They put a Nissan logo, and Maxima badge on Infinity I30/35, and sell it as Maxima in Russia. I just thought it was pretty cool that they have them there. I think Infinity name is for USA only. I saw quite a few Lexus models there under Toyota's badge as well. Here are a few pix.

Hey, when I've been in Russia I've never noticed those!!! Hmmm I guess that's cause the last time I've been there is 9 years ago. Well anyway nice seeying those there.
BTW I wonder what would they call our Maximas there, I35?

 

well actually they call it rebadged under Infiniti Brand. If I'd have infinity I35 I'd deff rebadged it over to nissan maxima or cefiro

I believe european max has QV or QX in the end right?

 

In england they stopped selling Maximas in 1994... and I haven't seen the Infiniti brand either

Yea, they came up with Infiniti just for the US market. BTW: In Russia, Maxima still comes with VQ30.

Aye its true, 2000-2004 maximas in Australia have the vq-30. Strangely, the ADM 6th generation maxima does have the VQ35 however it puts out 170kw... which translates into 229.5hp. Kinnda $hitty! They detune a lot of cars for Australia because they think it will decrease the death tolls on the roads. Stupid politicians dont even realise that we have possibly the lowest road fatality rate of any country in the world... bar undeveloped nations.

in japan the I30/i35 is called cefiro
europe it's called maxima
england and ireland it's called maxima QX

it comes in the following trims: 20G, 25G, 30G, Brougham and SS.
my uncle who lives in trinidad had the Maxima 20G. of course the overseas cars are nowhere as "loaded" as ours, and so far i haven't a seen 3.5VQ in any of them. the car we call Maxima is unique to north american shores as far as i know, so is the Toyota Solara.

Yaeh, almost everything is true about Euro-Maximas.
Here in Europe we don't have Infiniti,but we've Nissan Maxima and for example A33 came only with VQ30 engine 147/200HP with 4 gears A/T or 5 M/T........ They have worse equipment and also the Price for a new car were between 46.000-50.000$.

I don’t think that Maximas are sold anymore in Europe. Nissan sells here different models than in US and Canada, I think they are made in England.
