My floor maps keep slipping!!!!

I bought new floor mats for my 3rd gen and they don't have any way to stay in one place. They just slide around under my feet. Is there a way to keep them in one spot? I thought about gluing them, but that would be nasty, and then about velcro, but I don't think it would hold to the carpet well. Any suggestions?

You should have clips in the floor in front of the set in the middle. It is a L shaped hook (for lack of a better word) that anchors your factory mats. It's likely aftermarket mats won't have them so you'll have to cut a hole for them. It's not a perfect solution but will help.

Or you can buy a pin type mat clip. It looks like a large safty pin with a clip on it. The pin goes into your carpeting and the clip snaps onto your mat and holds it in place. Mercedes usually provides them with a new set of mats in case the original mat holders are damaged. You can probably pick them up at most auto parts stores.

There should be a hook from the floor that goes through your floor mat.

Would'nt that kinda defeat the purpose of floor mats? Just be a little creative its not that difficult to make your mats stay in once place!
