I noticed this in my 95, I was flooring it one day to get on the freeway and at about 5K the A/C started blowing hot air. . . I wasn't sure if this was normal, but that was my reasoning.

under WOT, the max's ecu cuts off the ac, you have to keep your foot in it for a while to notice a temp change,
