They seem to be serious in Cali. I feel for people that want to mod their cars out there if this is what they can face.

Adjustable timing is illegal?! Don't all major manufacturers have some sort of adjustable timing? And voltage regulators are illegal too? Aren't those just big capacitors for people with high-wattage stereos or bad batteries/alternators? They aren't really used for racing, are they?

I guess the moral of the story is that you can avoid all this nonsense if you just avoid getting pulled over for not having your front plate in the first place.

is this for real? I cannot believe that you're being punished for something that you haven't done yet(street racing). If you get cought doing it it's a diff story...I honestly cannot believe this. What about all the real sports cars-are they going to proclaim them illigal? Honestly, who needs 150hp+ in everyday driving? I am blown away...

Serves them right.

Use a stock looking muffler, have a front license plate, don't tint your front windows and sit upright.

You don't have to be a ricer to get pulled over. My mom bought a car with one plate, she got pulled over and was told to get another plate.
