Finally installed my shift light today, it took a little longer than I wanted because I tried to a very neat job of intalling it. To bad the nice people at carparts.com didnt bother to send me the pills I ordered, so I could only use the 3000 rpm one that comes with the light, but I have to say the light is really frickin bright at night if you dont use the yellow cover it comes with. Cant wait to actually get the right pill for it. While I had everythig apart I disconnected the little thing that makes the beeping sound when you have the keys in the ignition and the door opened, because I always cleaning the car and want to listen to the radio so I have the doors the open and the stupid thing keeps beeping - very annoying. If anyone is interested I ll post pics of the shift light later this week. It looks pretty cool though.

make sure your lite is adjusted for v6.
maybe thats why its beeping...

No no, the shift light wasnt beeping, what I meant was the little factory peezo buzzer thing that beeps if you leave your keys in the ignition when the driver door is opened. I disconnected that, but I used the intructions from your site to install the shift light, saved me lots of time.
