Got Hayden 403 AT Cooler Installed..
#1
With Greg's instructions, everything was a breeze. He had some great pictures that helped me work everything out in my head before I even got under the car. Hardest part about the install? Getting the stupid hoses on the tranny cooler!!! That took me a while each. Next hardest was getting the grill off. But I'm sure taking the time to do that made things way easier. After it was off it was just mount and plug. I placed my cooler on the passenger side of the car. Not the middle. The 403 is smaller than Greg's 404 so it fit perfectly on the right side of the condensor. I'm impressions? I dono.. =) Peace of mind? Yes. Its kinda cool to feel the tranny cooler warm up when you start the car.. Its an easy in stall guys. So for you auto drivers out there that drive the tranny hard. This is a must do.

Thanks dude. That means a lot when people say things like that. I post the instructions and my experiences for exactly the reason you stated. To work it all out in your head before you even get under the car. I have tried to document the things that I wish someone else had done to help ME!! A picture is worth a thousand words sometimes.
Glad you got it all worked out and were successful. Removing the grill is a little scary because it almost feels like you are breaking something, but once you have it out it's like "oh, that's not so bad!"

I'd like to second that...
Thanks a lot for the great pics and install instructions. I installed my Hayden 403 this afternoon too. Actually had to run up to my comp and take a look at the pics one more time as I was installing it. They definitely made things a lot easier. I installed mine on the driver's side, like Don's, hoping that it would get me 12 sec timeslips too.

FYI...anyone else doing this...if you put a bit of tranny fluid on the hoses and where they connect, they slide right on.
Great instructions Greg....I wouldn't have done it on my own otherwise!

Crap!! I'm so stupid!! I was like.. Should I put motor oil? Nah, that will contaminiate the the ATF.. Should I put water? Nah, that may contaminate it too.. Why the hell didn't I think of using ATF!!?? CRAP!!! I'm so stupid!!! Well its a great idea. So anyone doing the mod now.. Save yourself some forearm strength and put some ATF on the fittings.. =P

By the way ZuM...are those just regular orange bulbs in your clearance lights next to your headlights?
