Hooray it's finally letting me post my own threads! BOUT TIME! My question is this. The rear blinker bulbs in my max are py/21w. 1156's do not fit in. Is there another name for a py/21w bulb? I wanna get the silverstar turn signals for both the front and the rears, and was wondering if there was a bulb that would work in the rears. tia...

Yeah, there isn't a bulb that will fit in the rear turn signals except bulb number PY21W. Philips brand makes these bulbs. I had bought some a few years ago before I swapped my taillights, but I forgot where I had purchased them. Google it and there are plenty of sites that sell them.

thanks dank, but i got them a while ago. The 7507 (iirc) is what i got. I got them and the 1157 silverstar turn signals. They look MUCH cleaner, well worth the 25 bucks i paid for them both.

 

you changed the fluid during the bulb change right?

dont you usually take the 1156 bulb and shave off one of the nipples?

 

maybe if you're buying the wrong bulb.
why would you usually have to modify a bulb
