Does anyone know how to take them apart or have taken them apart? Is it possible without breaking them? Let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Foggy

If you mean to just get in there and change the bulbs on them, just slide under and start unscrewing. It's a fairly easy task. Just handle with care.
As for rewiring to replace fogs...that's a nutta story. Don't be intimidated, you'll figure it out.
I just replaced the bulbs on my fogs. Took me about 10-15 mins per fog.

Good luck!

I own a 97 and don't need to slide under the car...But, what I am trying to do is cut that shield away which goes right in front of the bulb and neutralizes all super white, blue or crystal yellow to a dull shade.

My purpose is to match the headlights with the fogs, but this is impossible because the headlight bulbs have a shield which is chrome and the fogs have a shield which is a flat gray. If I can somehow get enough room to the shield and cut it away...

Again I own a 97 which has a one-piece foglight housing. No screws to take it apart.

Well...

I guess if it's important to you to get an exact match in color, you don't have alot of options but to do what you describe. Do you really want to cut into it though? I'm in a 3rd gen so our housing is different, but I wonder if it's possible and perhaps easier to just replace the stock fogs?

Best,
Hadman
