Find the cheapest gas prices in your area

Just enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code area. It's updated every evening.

works for all states

for an interesting comparison, I thought I would post on gas prices in New Zealand.

Octane Conversion (guessing)
98 NZ - 92/93 USA
95 NZ - 90/91 USA
91 NZ - 86/87 USA

Liter/Gallon Conversion
3.78 liters = 1 US gallon

* Gas (petrol) is sold by the liter in New Zealand. Here is what we pay a gallon. approx.

98 Octane - $6.80 a gallon
95 Octane - $6.53 a gallon
91 Octane - $6.35 a gallon
Diesel - $4.91 a gallon (plus some sort of fuel/road tax)

With the present exchange rate if you were to visit NZ with US money the prices would be more like this with US currency.

98 Octane - $4.31 a gallon
95 Octane - $4.14 a gallon
91 Octane - $4.02 a gallon

The person that changes prices is getting plenty of exercise lately. 2 weeks ago gas was $2.55 at RaceWay. Today it is $2.89 for 87 octane. I looked up the prices on that website and they are off quite a bit.

Not with my new car, but with the Maxima, you know I've said for years it doesn't require premium. And you've heard me say it too, that when prices are absolutely high, premium is relatively cheap. I just pumped away at $3.109 and didn't care less. It actually was a great feeling! It's only when it's 2.399 across the street and 2.559 here that I bang the u-turn to get that 16 cents savings. But when we're in the $3 range, I no longer car about 15-20 cents. The fact that super is 20 cents more than regular, I'll fill the Maxima up with 93 at $3.109 every time. I do tend to drive less, so I'm pretty confident the next time I fill up it should be at least 3.299 or maybe 3.499. haha! My boss calls me in to tell me about my 2.75% raise, bringing my salary to ?. Big deal! Once again, it's absolutely a lot of money, but relatively a small raise, the opposite of gas. It's life.
