Fuel Pump

i kno this isnt the right forum but i get no responses in the 2nd gen forum and iam sure someone here can help me..

i replaced the fuel pump on my 87 max...now after installing the new one i have to join the 2 fuel lines...i tried putting a hose clamp but the fuel squirts out the sides of the clamp..heres a pic so u have an idea wut iam workin with



any ideas on how to join the fuel lines i needa fix this pos asap i need a beater


ps. the hoses line up properly its just that the pump wasnt bolted all da way down

You could use a hose mender fitting in between the two pieces..

Well after looking at your pic a liitle closer,i dont think you have enough hose on the fuel pump side to use one of them mender pieces...
Try this...

i dont think it will reach the metal line on the pump housing..but i will try tommorw...wut do i do if the hose isnt long enough to reach the metal line on the pump housing

thanks alot..should i buy the hose mender fitting

There might be enough hose left to meet the line on the pump housing...If not then get some fuel line from the auto parts store to replace the entire hose....

Correct way is to replace the hose. If you cannot, get the proper size fitting.

iam not sure how to replace the hose because if u look at the picture the hose goes under the metal part of the back seat but it looks like theres no way to get to it ...i think ill try the hose mender fitting..any ideas on wut size i would have to get
