Yep:
If the Big Three were as efficient in all their plants as Nissan was in its Smyrna, Tennessee, factory, they would need 95,000 fewer workers, the story said.

To add to that, July 2001 Money magazine reported that Nissan Motors is finally in the black again after several years of losses. They attributed it to cost-cutting by the CEO. Hopefully this does not mean quality suffered in the last couple of years.

Well my buddy's 2001 Sentra uses the same door releases/locks as Max. Cuts costs...sure.
