YJ and I went to Speedworks with Andi to dyno our cars today. For those of you who don't know, Andi's got a 98 Supra with BPU++ @ 19psi boost.

here are the results of our best runs:

Me
Max POWER: 295fwhp
Max TORQUE: 385ft-lbs

Andi
Max POWER: 420hp
Max TORQUE: 440ft-lbs

We were both on pump gas, and the temperature was around 103F. Andi's best runs were after he changed out the spark plugs. Prior to changing the spark plugs, his best was 418rwhp/425ft-lbs.

This link is to a pic of a dynosheet with both our runs on the same sheet:

http://www.boostaholic.com/tmp/Dyno_6_18_2001/both.gif

The following links are videos of Andi's 5 pulls and my own 3 pulls:

Oh yeah, i weighed my car today. it's 2900lbs when i'm not in the car. with me, it's 3020lbs. here's a link to a pic of that:

What did you do to your car to make it so light? If your car is only 2900, and the Supra is 3600lb, you guys might even out even with his horse power.

How come we saw Andi's face, but not yours? Nice run, your max gets a really really nice boosted sound after it hits whatever RPM! Very nice!

100 FT LB more on the same shot WTF

Looks like your running 13-1 to 14-1 A/F when you get those big TQ numbers.

NICE numbers Thomas, I see a 12 in your future...

Still a 0.047?
What bottle pressure?
Was that with the straight 3" no muffler set up?
Did you do any NA dyno pass's?
820c EGTs?

.047 jet at 1200psi bottle pressure. full 3" mandrel bent, 3" y-pipe, no cat, no muffler. i didn't do any NA passes and my EGT probe is still hanging... so no EGTs =(

How you get the car so light? You have a stripped interior? I don't weigh much either, but my car is no where near that weight of your car.

ok... I vote MOTM... lets get those #s out in the open... very impressive...

one question: I thought that when you had no muffler, thefore little restriction: you lose a lot of backpressure and therefore expect high HP and low torque... you're going crazy in the torque department... somebody want to explain this?

When people talk about losing torque, they dont mean losing peak torque. They are refering to a loss of low end power. People call low end power torque and high end power horsepower. Actually one is a function of the other. You can lose low end power with a big pipe but, your peak numbers for both figures should improve.

You should try the 125 jet with 1000psi of pressure, I bet you get the same results.

Where you guys go weigh your car? I want to find out the weight of my car without my subs and soon to be 17" Tantrums. My car right now does "feel" lighter with my stock 15" rims back on oppose to when I had the 18" on.
