Gauging Interest in new technology...

I know a lot of you probably want to be able to know more about the health status of your engine but you also don't really want to purchase hundreds of gauges and think of new ways to put them into your dash area.

Our team has come up with an idea to centralize a variety of sensor readings to one location, preferably a video screen which will be mounted in the dash.

This should be a fully customizable application that you hook up to your own in-dash video screen.

Just want to get some reactions from you all so that I can gather support for the ground breaking of this project.

Imagine.... putting all of these:

into this:

Centralized sensor monitoring visual display.

aren't there performance gauges and monitors like this stuff that already exist? being able to view everything with a program on a laptop, for instance?

The health of your engine is established by doing an oil anaylsis and a compression test.

Sorry word choice error...

It is meant to say the important sensor monitoring could be more easily read if all of the information is centralized.

You can do all of what your planning, in this mini little Unit and also monitors a/f via WB

It also has datalogging capabilities.

The PLX is more advanced than the i-Moni from Apexi. However, neither is a very attractive piece of electronics. Yes, you do get some great information from it, but if you can couple it to your in dash video screen, then it would be pretty awesome.

The HKS Camp unit is pretty expensive for the average person who may not want all of its features, but it also seems to have a limited number of possible sensors as well. Our idea is to make this modular so that you can expand as your data collection wants/needs change.
