how much does my car weigh? i always heard around 3200 lbs, but on the inside of the drivers side door jam it says something like a total of 4000. does someone know what this means? front and rear gross weights or what ever it says, that is frustrating my mind. thanks.

Your car weighs anywhere from about 2950 (GXE) to about 3100(GLE) pounds. Your SC and other mods of course add more weight. The numbers on the door jamb tell you the maximum weights that each axle will safely accomodate. Add the two numbers together to find out who much weight the car will safely carry, including gas, passengers and luggage.

GVW, or gross vehicle weight is the maximum load for your car. What that means is you should never put anything in or on your Max that would make it weigh more than 4000 lbs.
