since the budget has a flange and the dynomax is a generic, should i just get a short length of 2.5" pipe with a flange at one end so the muffler shop doesn't have to chop my b-pipe?

will lee/murray's/pep boys have an exhaust part like that?

Yes. That is my setup. Go to a muffler shop and tell them to add flange and pipe to the muffler.
