I just did it today and it looks great! Way better than stock. The ONLY drawbacks i can think of are resale, some one might want the name on the trunk and when you win a race the loser wont know what kind of car he just got killed by

None what so ever...Just do it! I think the max looks kinda nake w/o something on the trunk (on a 4th gen), if you take everything off. Just so much space there.

Are there any drawbacks to removing trunk logos?

think the only thing is "if you get pulled over, the damn cop wouldn't know what kind of a car it is?"

I've been stopped twice for speeding, and twice the make and model of my car on the ticket is wrong. tried to use it against the cop when I had to go to court..but no use.

cop wrote...make: mitsu model: maxima

other time...make: nissan model: blank-literally!

also, am thinking of getting a euro / jap plate for the front of my car (indiana state only requires rear license plates). went in my other friend's ride the last time to chicago to visit his his gf who lives in a gated community (illinois ppl have to have front and rear plates). the poor security dude...(looked like Jeeves if you ask me) tried to copy the cursive jap words and numbers on the front...dah! lol!

just my $0.02

I'd like to shed my front plate also but it is required in NJ. Many guys have removed them with no problems though. Hmmm....

I'm in MD and a front plate is also required. The damn bracket scratched the hell out of my front bumper, so I relocated the front plate underneath the front bumper, inside the lower grille. So far, no trouble, even after a 3 cops searched my car on saturday night.

btw, the pic in my sig is not recent.
