5th & 6th gen rear seats

I'm considering upgrading to a newer car..

Do the rear seats in the 5th or 6th gens fold down?

They do in the 5.5 gen and would assume the same for the 6th gen.

The elite package is nice though, kinda wish I got it. But yes, the rear seats in our old 02 max folded down as well as my 6th gen seats.

That's the one thing in my 4th gen I wish they had done. Our newer altima 3.5 actually has a wider space with the seats folded down than the 6th gen when the seats are folded down. Found that out the hard way this weeked.

So it seems like maybe all 5th gen rear seats fold down? or is it just '02 and '03?

Thanks for the info guys.

Yeah, it's the one thing that bothers me about the 4th gen. Aside from some wood moulding or skis, the hole in the middle of the rear seat is pretty much useless.

I was considering a mid-size SUV, but gas prices are getting too high to be doing 15mpg.

Murano FTW! Ours gets about 60 miles less per gallon the the 5.5 gen auto we traded in so I dont think its a very big loss considering the space we have now.

it doesn't bother me because i never really carry anything in my maxima...I have a 4runner for that.

I wanted the 4 person seating that the elite offered instead.
