Question about synthetics
#1
My 98 Max has 30,000 miles. I've been using regular oil
since I bought it. Can I simply switch to synthetic oil on
my next oil change or must I do a complete flush or use a
blend at first. And what brand synthetic oil should I
use? Thanks..

Heres the deal..... Just start using any name brand FULL SYNTHETIC oil. Dont worry about the flushing or anything like that. Change it regularly (4k-6k) and you should be fine. I personally change it at 4k. I hear that you really dont need to with synthetic, but it cant hurt either changing it that soon.

BTW, FYI, 7500 miles is ok.

I change my oil at about 2000 - 3000 miles. its my envelope I give myself....yes yes, kinda large but its cos the local nissan dealer sucks and I've got to drive down to indianapolis to another dealer for oil change.
