Help: auto to 5 speed conversion w/wiring harness conv clutch wires pedal where do?
Okay here is my question: the car was auto and was converted to a 5 speed. I also pulled the auto wiring harness and installed a 5 speed wiring harness and 5 speed ECU. I do not know where to connect the two wires that come out of the clutch pedal now that the auto wiring harness is out. On the auto wiring harness you connect it to the PNP switch wires.
Think you guys can help me out here so the car can start the car?
When pressing the clutch pedal the car will start. But if those two wires are not connected properly it wont start. I forgot the name of the switch that will not let the car start?

Ill check the FSM and check the pin out! I appreciate all you guys help!

I pulled the whole engine out to assemble it. While the engine was out I pulled the wiring harness. It is not hard, just disconnect it from the inside. It is about 5 harnesses inside the car. Then just pull it from the engine bay. Then grab the 5 speed harness and feed it back in. Not hard at all. The thing is that I now need to hook up those two clutch wires so the car can start. Ill let you guys know how it turns out.

Yes, it can be done. But the only logical reason do go through with it would be so that you can use an aftermarket 5spd ECU with it...and get rid of all those codes from the 5spd swap.
I certainly won't switch mine out, I'd have to rewire all my injectors. I'm just going to go down the EU road instead.

UPDATE: Guys you do not have to even mess with the ECU. Pin 22 leave it alone. You guys with autos I may have a solution for ya not to have no more auto tranny codes running your 5 spd swaps.
What I did was a full 5 spd conversion with 5spd engine wiring harness. The auto engine wiring harness can be left alone along with the ECU thats currently in your car. Ill take some pictures and let you guys know how easy it is to by passs all that crap and is only one wire and your car will fire right up!!!!!!!!!!!

We are talking about the wiring harness swaps, thats different. By passing the PNP on autos. Relays are different wires are same. Look at the FSM.

If you ground that wire unplug the wires from the auto ECU. It is rendered useless. The car should start even with the auto ECU. What might not work are your back up lamps. Thats the only thing that I can think of not working properly.
The car I did this on I bought the 5speed ECU. I should have only bought the wiring harness.
