Farewell after 2 Maximas and 10 yrs on the ORG....

of course if was way before maxima.org back then... still maximanet.com or something like that. Anyway... after a white 93 and my more recent 95.. i sold her last weekend and am now moving on. The good news is i am staying in the nissan family.

Anyway even though i dropped off over the last year or so, thanks for all the good times here.... i think this is a fantastic forum and i learned more about the max than i ever though possible. Heres a small tribute to my old max as well as a few of the new ride.

Cheers.
-Ryan

yea i sold the sides and rear... the front i still need to get rid of. Posted in the FS 4th gen forum

I have loved the G for like 2 yrs now and basically just waited till i was in the financial position to own it. I found this one in showroom condition and only 13k miles after searching for a long 4 months.

i stayed in the nissan family too. too bad the infiniti family was too weak, and i couldn't afford an M45... .. pity. but for those money i would have never bought the infiniti anyway so i guess nissan > infiniti for me.

I don't see no turbo, but I see an intercooler, it could be a ricer upgrade, must show pics under the hood to prove!
On topic, I was still on maxima.org when I was riding bike(bmx) when I had no money for gas, this was for about a month, and I still posted. Now all I do is make my friends pay for gas after taking them for a cruise, problem solved.

Wow, looks like almost all the old timers have new cars. That's a nice G35C. My brother is shopping for an '06 G sedan right now, we both prefer the coupe, but it's a little out of his price range. I've still got the Maxima, but never drive it. Since the wife and I picked up an '06 Lexus IS350 to replace her turbo Integra, I just never have the urge to drive or work on the Maxima. I'd forgotten how nice it was to drive a new car, it's almost as fast as my Maxima and so much easier to cruise around town in.

So now I just wait until I can sell the Maxima to pick up something new. I had thought of a CTS-V or S4, but I don't think I want another 4 door especially since I already have the IS. So I'm leaning toward a slightly used Lexus SC430 or SLK55. I just want a fun car now I think.

yea.. i had the same thoughts. i just didnt want another 4dr and have always had a thing for the g coupe. i seriously looked at a 350 but decided against getting a 2 seater. the g still has alot of room and a decent back seat. however a SC430 would be SICK.

Its a auto... i cant handle a 6sp in atlanta traffic

OT, but seriously; Look for a Used CLS500 yeah yeah not an AMG but hell, it'll go 155 which is more than a stock max and im sure you can find someone to take out at least one of the limiters >_>;; More importantly, you'd have a big 4-door that's a sick-looking coupe

Yeah, I like them too, but the wife thinks they're horrible looking.

BTW, Ryan, how does the auto drive? My brother is mainly focused on the 6 spds because he's concerned he'd lose too much performance w/ the auto. but Atlanta traffic does suck, I'm stuck in it for over an hour each way. I'm dreaming of a Buckhead condo right now.
