It's hard to believe with a resource such as the internet these days that people can't do their own research. You can see what the dealer pays for the car with just a simple search. Typically, anything under a "G" note over dealer cost is a good deal.

Google is your friend.....

pricing out a car is one of those impossible things like locating the bermuda triangle and returning to tell about it.. you're best bet is to just hand over 50k to the dealer and he'll return whatever you're owed. Trust your local dealer to do the right thing.

Listen...dealerships and buying a car aren't a black art...I sell Nissans and it's pretty straightforward.

On the 2006 Maxima, there's 1500 dollar rebate from the factory, so you take the sticker price off the window and take 1500 dollars off it. Then assume about 1000-1200 markup over that and that's about the price you should be paying. I can't tell you the invoice price for a Maxima SL because...they're all pretty different. You have to pick a car first with the exact equipment you want (floormats? microfilter? splashguard?...)

but there ya go....don't get ripped off and if need be...ask to see the invoice.
