This is true. One of my friends actually works as a tester at the Nissan Proving Grounds out here. There's no better place to test hot weather, city driving.

I think the driver put on Nissan logo and Altima emblem on the coupe and make it looks like a new Altima Coupe.

then why was it all wrapped up with the tarps manufacturersw always put on them when they're street driving.. seems like a lot of work just to fool a few people who would even know what the crap it is..

Regardless, I'm excited for more coupe options from Nissan that don't cost $50,000

[QUOTE=cpavlov] The tails were wrapped up, but what was exposed looked like shrunken maxima tails. I think I saw dual exhaust too, which would lead me to believe that was a 4 cylinder model, since Nissan is advertising the new Altima 4 CYL with duals. The dash looked like the new '07, most notable were the triple pod display gauges in the center. and the grill was left exposed but debagged and does look like the '07 one. QUOTE]

OK couple of questions, the dash looked like the 07 maxima or altima, same with the grill... also when you say shrunken maxima tails, why would the altima have that if they just redesign the tails for the new altima,??mmm or maybe just maybe, they are calling this code name coupe altima, but in reality it'll be a coupe maxima.....and dont tell me that the g35 allready is

lol, The tails were wrapped up, the point would be to deceive you of what it actually looks like. it probably has the tails off the sedan. And as for the dash and grill, I was referring to the 07 Altima sedan, although the dash is reminiscent of the 350Z

The new ALtima is already old news, as for the Maxima. They just refreshen the car. I don't know about a 2 door Altima Coupe, that would be interesting but that's probably not til the distant future.
