Tint Question
Tint Question
I recently had my 07 tinted. I noticed that on the top of the rear window, there are little black bumps which prevent the tint from adhereing to the glass. It looks really bad in that area.
I was wondering if other people have experienced this too, or if the guy did a poor job on my tint. Does anyone know how to clean this up?
I also noticed very tiny air bubbles here and there. Is this something that most of you would complain about, or am I just being too ****?
Thanks for the feedback.

Do not wind your windows down for a week
DO NOT turn on any type of heat in your car
When i got mine tinted i experienced the same. Give it a week, if you still have issues , take it back to the place, they normally fix it fast. You don't need to clean it up yourself.
Do not turn on defrosters or anything. AC FTW!

the top of the glass i know on my 2k has dot matrix which makes it look like the way you described it. there is a product called dotrix. it's a recently new product but it will black it out like this

Whoa..! That looks so much better! Where can I get this dotrix stuff? Can it be used, after the tint has already been put on?

Thanks for the advice. The guy told me three days would do it, but I think that I'll go for a week, just to be safe.

If they are very small bubbles they should go away in a week. I've had several vehicles tinted and this is a common occurance. If you talk to most tinters they will not do anything for at least this time. If they do persist after that period then have it looked at. It may not be a bad idea though to let the tinter know they are there incase there is a remaining problem.
