i dont know why everyone is flaming her and stuff. Why does it matter if she does the work on her car or doesnt? It almost seems like just because shes a girl everyone is getting there panties in a knot. I admire the fact that she has put a lot of money and time into her maximas, I personally think her maximas are pretty nice, i myself would not go that far into visual mods but hey if she likes it then who cares what anyone else thinks. Fuse may or may not have contacted her because she was a girl and is hot. If it was a fat *** 50 year old who owned her cars, i couldnt see them promoting that on public tv.

Sorry I had to comment on this quote. Its a friggen great quote!

I came to the maxima board with absolutly no experience. Hadent even changed my oil before I bought the max. Now after doing the entire suspension and brakes, I'm done with this car and I am doing a motor swap (putting an american aluminum V8 in an RX7) .. Now thats diving in, taking some big risks and having a **** load of enthusiasm.

Brooke and Irish have said all I wish to say except that the end result of modding your car should be YOUR happiness, not that of others. IF that is the case, you will never need the approval from org members, judges at shows, peeps on the streets, etc.

Jealousy serves no good purpose and is a reflection of that person's insecurities as a person. Feeling like you're the victim of sexual bigotry is useless especially if you put someone down to justify why you haven't acheived all you've liked. Hard work is rewarded if you put yourself out there and try like Brooke has. I say congrats, no real surprise and more power to her.

Brooke and Irish, and anyone with an ounce of humility and intelligence, you all are welcome to hang out in the bay area if you're ever out here. Pm me and we'll get an impromptu meet going.

That brings back memories. We use to LT1 them all day....

There is this company that makes the swap kit.

The 350 bolts up perfectly to the RX7 and it handles like a dream. If you ever see a dark green '90 RX7 in Vegas Carbon fibered out....that was mines...

Back on topic.

Stop hatin on home chick. Life is like that. She "designed" her car....and someway or another FUSE got a hold of her and did a feature. I would much rather see her on her car in a bikini than a certain to remain nameless.... GasmaskWearing-InteriorOverhauling-FiberglassingGuru-NippleRingHaving Personal Hero.....

She goes to school almost full time, pays for her own rent and cars, and work a ton, so NO she wasn't spoiled by her dad or anyone. Her passion to build and show maximas started about four years ago, she worked 3 jobs and did a lot of overtime so she can afford to have nice things espeacially stuff for the maximas, **** i remembered asking her what she wanted for christmas and she would always say "help pitch in for car parts and tools would be great". Brooke's really does like to work underneath the hood just like you and i, yeah there might be times when she needed help and didn't exactly know whats she's doing or the parts is too heavy but she asked questions and helped none the less. I clearly remember her sending out portfolios for sponsorship without a picture of herself because she didn't want any of the **** talking. By the time she got sponsored the cars were mostly done anyways and she got it based on the cars not her looks. There is a few members on this thread that i'm sure she has spoken to either in person or emails, if anyone has ever met or talked to Brooke you would feel ashamed for saying she doesn't deserved her recognitions. Hurry up finished your cars and meet up with Brooke at a car show, if you wanted to go drag racing, show, or scca she is mostly likely be in the next car over lining up with ya. You would honestly see she is the coolest most down to earth girl you'll ever meet. She passion for maxima is a great part of her life and the people she meet through forums or shows usually become life long friends. So please don't judge her by her looks(HOT)! She really proud to be a part of max community so show her some respect and love she shown you guys. P.S. Fuse called Brooke for the segement when they found her on cardomain and asked her to be in it. she never contacted Fuse first.?

Where I come from they would consider Igor a Captain Save-A-Hoe

Wow..............whats all the hatin for, its relay not necessary, This is supposed to be a community, why are you all bashing her? It reminds me of my old Iroc z thread the mods even changed it to icorc z, just because i had people who knew more than me help me, i all of a a sudden was a lier and less of a person, its sad a enthuses is an enthuses, sure it's more rewarding doing it all your self, i have learned that with this max, but relay instead of being happy for her and being happy to see maxima's get recognized we all squabble like chickens about it, hey suck it up thats the way the cookie crumbles, sex sells i am sure fuse TV wanted to feature a hot girl with hot cars, i am sure more people would tune in to see a sexy woman than just some guy, i can see you all getting pissed if it was on like auto week or something......but fuse TV, (a music channel, right?)if your all that upset that you hard work goes unrecognized go to shows, get exposure, put your self out there like brook has, for real she got hot cars, goes to shows, has her own clothing line rev wear, and that how you get recognized.

not trying to bash or disrespect anyone, just giving my 2 cents!

Josh and Brooke, very good posts. Much respect for both of you. Brooke for standing up for yourself, and letting people know how it really is. Josh for spittin constructive criticism. If more people on here were like you, the forums would be much more busy. (It's often hard to throw your ideas out there if you know that someone who thinks they are holier-than-thou is just going to step in and tell you how dumb they think you are.)

For those of you who keep saying that sex sells, or are trying to imply that FUSE's main interest in showing her car was her sex appeal, please read this post again. Especially the first 2 paragraphs. Hopefully it will dispel this myth.

Guys, I am receiving a lot of complaints regarding various comments in this thread. That **** needs to cease immediately.

Consider this the first and only warning on the subject.

What the hell is FUSE TV anyway? I mean, I have basic cable and all the major cable channels and have never heard of FUSE. Can anyone fill me in on this B channel? If you said something like she was on SPIKE TV then everyone would know what it was.

FUSE is basically what MTV was 10 years ago - mostly music videos of "alternative" bands, with the occasional non-music show. Actually a pretty good channel.

No matter how you mean it, that question is disrespectful unless you're asking it to a stripper on Howard Stern. Completely uncalled-for and tactless.
