that seemed to be my problem... I had 2 4th gens before the one I have now, a 95 auto GLE w/95,000mi and 97 auto SE w/88,000mi, totaled both-neither my fault, insurance bought me new car every time and now im on my third, a 97 SE 5spd w/144K, which I like the most out of all of them.

One of my best friends is back to his 96 cause his 04 is wrecked. And he just fixed the 96 from the last time he wrecked it.

Some people are better with maximas then others.

i Love my maxima, well my parents. We got her in 2002 (it's a 2000). She had 120,000KM on it not miles. Now she has 205,000km on her, and guys, i have not changed a single thing on her (besides brakes, pads, oil, filters, plugs and tires.) By far the most reliable car we've ever had!

Too many camrys and accords on the road and both these cars were in the top 10 "stolen and broken into" back in 2000. So I decided to get a Maxima. I'm glad I did.

my 92 has always been there for me, never broken down, always starts, and drives like a dream. 204,000 miles and im sure it has a lot left. with the money ill be getting soon, i might just get another 3rd gen and rebuild everything so its good as new. love it...specially the interior, i think it looks better than most of the new cars out there today.

These things are tanks! They'll run as long as you keep oil in it. The last one I had before my current had 180k when I sold it to a friend, it now has over 200k and still running like a clock.

I purchased a 4th gen back in July of this year after wanting one for years...And it was the best purchase I've ever made. This baby is fun to drive, great sound system, and reliable as ever. Now is time to save up so i can get some cool mods....

A LOT of LOVE... I will have to be honest. I'm Not sure. I have had her for 4 months. I sometimes mentally cheat on her. But the moment I get in, FORGET it. Love the Low end torque, and the power. When I'm driving her, I make cute promises that I will never leave her.

I have to say, this being my third maxima, I've never been disappointed. As much as it hurted to part with my third and fourth gen, I'm even more happy with my sixth gen. Looking forward to see what Nissan is coming out with next. [/FONT]

i love my maxima so much. my 6speed 02 is my first car, and i have loved it since i test drove it almost 9 months ago. i was going to get a WRX 5spd or a 97 M3, GTI 20th Anniversary, etc...however the maxima was what i liked. it had so much power at ALL RPM's, classy exterior and interior, more room than all the others, and a huge community of people pationate about their maximas. sick choice i made, and everyone with a maxima most likely aggrees lol.

I traded my max in recently for an 06 Impreza..... The max needed around 1500-2000 in random repairs that I didnt see it fit with 100k on it. But boy, do I hate my self for trading her in. I really wish I would have kept her.

In its current condition, if I tried to put the 800 miles a week I averaged for the first two months I got my "max", I'd probably crash it into a pole on purpose, yet I still love it. guys I'm serious here, it really is love, ask my last girlfreind, she hated the thing because I loved it more than her.....

NVIS/NATS = immobilizer locked me out from starting car

MAF = during a car meet, crapped out on me about 40 miles away from home, drove back in limp mode

Shifter Linkage (new!) = snapped on me, had to drive car home by pulling linkage rod into 3rd and 4th
