I only pay

300 every six months, now. I used to pay 150 every six months. It doubled because I got into a little car accident last year. BUT i think its only for liability though.

go to erieinsurance.com

to see if your state is covered. Erie reduces rates at 23 instead of 25. I'm now 31 with a '97 SE and pay about $550/year. With a motorcycle it's about $700/year, full coverage, $250 deductible, blah, blah, blah. I've got no recent (within 5 years) tickets either.

Also check out this site for info:

http://www.insure.com/auto/

This article lists customer satisfaction as listed by JD Power:

http://www.insure.com/auto/jdpower900.html

You'll note Erie is above State Farm, who used to charge me over $2000/year.

Older Max's aren't that much cheaper...

When I sold my 91 SE, I was paying $46/mo for it, then my 96 SE jumped a whole $8/mo. My Max is the most expensive car to insure that I own right now. I pay $162/mo for 4 cars all full coverage. Plus another $36/mo for the house. So for under $200/mo I have everything insured. You guys are nuts!

The V1 works great -- 3 of the tix were before I got it, and one was "instant-on." Nothing saves you from that if you're alone on the road.

It has saved my *** a few times already.

Also, laser will get you in about .0001 seconds. This is why the laser warning on my v1 is disabled -- in my opinion it's 99.9999% useless.
