Has anyone removed the hood liner from their Max? I'm considering on doing this to reduce underhood temps. My undertanding is that the hood liners provide a bit of noise insulation and somewhat of a short term fire wall. I've noticed most Hondas don't have hood liners. I've looked around the web and many say they record 20-25 lower underhood temps without the liners.

Anyone?
