Insurance question regarding my max

Ok so I have a post below about an electrical problem....the cost to repair the car is around $5000 which is almost more than the car is worth. Can I claim that through my insurance even though it wasn't in an accident? I do have full coverage.

Maybe you could claim it if the electrical problem sparked a fire (hint, hint)

if it was caused by something added on then no. you can try, but theyll look at it and say that it was caused by improper instalation, go after the instaler etc. i didnt read your other thread, so i dont know what happened

if it's due to wear and tear on the harness, its just that, wear and tear, not covered by insurance unless you have mechanical as well as comp and coll, most people DO NOT. unless there is a cause to the failure(you were in a flood and it started after etc) you dont have a leg to stand on, and even if you were to tell them that, there are limitations to the time frame you can call a claim in, a year is way over that. take it out of the stealership and find a local org member that does mechanical work to look at it. might just be your ignition switch

I recommend you contact your insurance company and ask them directly!!!

Just put a bag over your head to disguise your voice and tell them you're calling for a friend of a friend...
