Using a Sharpie Marker to cover small scratches?

I own a 98 Maxima with Pebble Beige Metallic color. I have like 3-4 very thin scratches on my back bumper that are in a vertical row in addition to some others that was there when I bought the car but aren't too noticable. So I just bought a Sharpie Gold Paint marker to cover the scratches online, pic here http://www.sharpie.com/sanford/consu.../pd_pa_med.jpg . Color does look little dark from what I see but right now with the scratches it looks black so the marker should help a little I think.

Pretty much i'm just wondering if anyone here has used a Sharpie marker or any other marker to cover some small scratches they had on their car, what were the results like how long has the ink last on the car exterior, couple months, years etc?

Not sure of the prostitute angle, however sharpies are great scratch cover markers, I use them on cars and furniture...

For minor scratches and rock pits it works great, I'm not talking about redoing your whole front bumper or quarter panel...

I have black touchup paint with a rollerball tip, I think its about at precise as you can get, and its actual car paint. But I have it easy with a black car.

Did you get this idea from the sharpie mini commercial where the student driver car has all the different color sharpies hanging from the rearview for when its bumped into parked cars?

I was thinking about touching up the marks I left on my sweetie after I pushed 'er up against a wall...then I thought "skip it, I'm a (maxima) pimp! Let them b1tchz clean themselves up"

Oh and honey, if you are reading this, I'm talking about my maximas and not your saturn.

Using a Sharpie marker on the car to cover scratches reminds me of that one commercial with the kid learning how to drive.

The people at Sharpie should take this opportunity to start making a line of auto touch up paint pens and sell them everywhere.
