Paint on car, please help!

Paint on car, please help!
I've already posted in the detailing section, but I'm not sure how often people get into that section, so I thought the general section would work too.
I was coming back from the beach the other day and saw some guy picking up some buckets that fell out of his truck into the road. Noticed he was a painter and didn't think much of it. Turns out he spilled some gray paint in the road, and because of the age of the road it blended right in. So needless to say I've got light gray paint on my super black maxima. It's fairly thick along the bottom of the driver's side door and then little bits of spray up the back door. Of course I didn't notice immediately and didn't get a chance to wash it off before it dried, so it's there. Now what do I need to do to get this crap off of my car. I love having a clean car, and feel like the thing is constantly dirty now because of this. Not to mention I have a two tone max now.
Any help would be awesome. I'm willing to try pretty much anything right now, that won't kill the clear coat or the rest of my crappy nissan paint.
So if there are any experts out there, please help!

how thick is the paint buildup? Does it feel really rough when you touch it, or is it just a light sprinkle? Large paint buildup is hard to get rid of and might require some sanding =/ Try clay bar first, if the paint isn't too thick.

clay bar, first. if that doesn't do the job, get some 3M Professional Rubbing compound. work it in with a terry cloth. it SHOULD remove the paint. if it does, remember to polish and seal/wax the paint afterwords as the rubbing compound WILL remove the wax from the paint.

Thanks guys! I went out and bought a clay bar yesterday, gonna give this a shot on saturday. I hate to wait, but working full time and then going to school at night only allows so much time. Thanks again!

You can also try various rubbing compounds. Start with a heavy compound and work down to a finishing compound. Then I would use a super glaze or other non-abrasive rubbing compound. Finish that with a clay bar and then high quality wax like eagle one nano.
