Tranny Fuild in engine oil???

Just wondering does anyone else put some tranny fuild in the engine? I started doing it at about 240k miles to help seal up some small leaks. I found it really helps, 1 quart per oil change. Now my car has over 401k miles and still running strong. An old drag racing buddy told me about it and said try it. He said tranny fuild holds up much better than oil and helps keep the seal pliable and makes them swell up a bit. It can take heat much better, Well I can say it does work. Anyone else??

it works but i wouldnt ever use it long term, mabe for a few minutes before an oil change, i do that every once in a while

see on top of keepin the seals nice and plump its high in detergents and if you've been using it the whole time thats fine and dandy but on a car where it hasnt and it doesent leak oil because of the bulid up arround the seals thats kinda semisolidified its not so good because it'll clean it away and cause a leak.

i have seen this in action, worked at a lube shop and after hours one of my co worked had an old ford puckup and he tried it, ran itwith 1/3 ATF for about 30 minutes, after that it was a self lubricating chasis
