Same thing happened to me recently. I had mine for almost a year and always had them on and one went out about 2 weeks ago. Should be getting a replacement soon.

Finally took some pics.

Pretty self explanatory. I fibreglassed, Nissan/Infiniti bixenon module, 4300K Phillips/Osram D2S bulbs, approximately 3300 lumens.

I should get around to taking some better cutoff pics. On a highway with the wall on the side, you can see the entire cut off point along the wall. Very white light, and the only colour you really see is the cutoff area where there is a bit of purple/yellow between the bright white and the darkness.

It's a bixenon module. When I turn the highbeams on, a shutter/shield is moved by a solenoid and you get highbeams and lobeams within the same bixenon projector module.

Thanks. To be honest, I only went this route because I saw the typical projector setup where you put a bezel on it to cover up the work, and I just didn't like it. I started thinking of how else I could make it look good. It's entirely a preference thing. I had seen a projector retrofit with the bezel, and I thought it just looked really bug eyed. I wanted something sleeker. It was easier then I expected to get the main contours that I wanted, but I spent a lot longer on getting the contours finished smoothly and symmetrically between the two headlights then I wanted to. And in the end, I kinda cheated by media blasting with low micron glass bead. Without this, it woulda been a lot more wet sanding.

These questions are to the guys that are running projector shrouds: where did you guys get them? How much did they cost? The most common ones are the e46 shrouds, correct?

HID planet forsale forums have them and so does ebay. The really nice shrouds that are on the BMW's that say xenon can cost about $150. Sometimes the shrouds can cost as much or more than the projectos. You can also make some out of PVC and some stove top stuff located in IKEA.

Thanks a lot. I'll let my friend know. He is doing a retrofit for his 99 Prelude. It has HIDs already, but the light output is poor without projectors.

Well I already have all the visual mods to do the 5th gen like the 4th gen (full stillen kit, tien s-techs, etc etc all sitting in my basement) but I may be selling this car soon. The S/C kit needs to be re-installed along with some other performance mods soon...we will see.

how you get your headlights so much higher than the fogs? i put factory fogs on and have aftermarket clear headlights. my fogs seem to be aimed where my headlights should be hitting. it's really easy to see it now cause i got the 3k fogs too.

play with the adjustment screw located behind the foglight housing and also the headlight housing (it should be the outer screws). also check the mounting brackets to make sure theyre straight.

its located behind the housing itself. there's only one. you should see a long gray screw that has splines at the end that turn with the screw. thats the up and down adjstment

the fogs always look different cause of the size of the housing.
