I need new tires on my Fiances car. It's a 96'Avenger and I am not sure what to put on it. I don't want to spend more than $70/tire and don't really care about performance. They need to last a long time and do good in the snow.

Ideas?

i didnt check the size, but take a look at some dunlop d60a2 tires. i had them on my 1990 max, and they were pretty nice.

I thought about those, but had them on my Integra and they were HORRIBLE in the snow

Any other ideas?

oops, no snow here in texas.

did you look at www.tires.com? i used them to order tires for my maxima. i got dunlop sp sport 8000. but i heard they are not good in snow either.

from tires.com, it looks like your choices are continental touring ch95 for $72, or maybe kumho ecsta supra 712 for $74. i thought a lot of maxima people like the kuhmos. there is also yokohoma avid t4 for $75.

I had Firestone Firehawk SH30s for a long time, they're priced pretty low and excellent rain tires. I couldn't tell you about snow (I live in Florida) but in any amount of water they felt as good as if it was dry.
