Can you test suspension assemblies while off the car?
Can you test suspension assemblies while off the car?
I was wondering if there are ways of bench-testing strut and shock assemblies (with the springs attached) before they are mounted on a car that would give them a rough idea of how they will perform once they are on the car?
If so, is the testing not worth the cost to do it?

Sure but it would probably be time & cost prohibitive for nearly all. You just plug in the spring lengths and rates along with damper figures and run what if's with software apps. What ya have in mind?
