Maybe it wasn't HID but it was almost like a blueish/white light illuminating the license plate. Looked real nice and Iwant the same look. Any ideas what type of bulbs they might have been using and how I can get the same look.

 

What does this have to do with 5th gen?

They were most likely LED replacement bulbs.

New caddy's have them in the reverse lights as well.

 

I put in 194 super-whites in there a while back. Took them out because they seem to be dimmer than the stockers.

 

As do transit buses, Brinkman flashlights, BMW 3's in the door handles, funny to call them HIDs as the poster said in the thread title.

Glad to provide some comedy for you. Like I said though, I wasn't sure what they were, I just knew there were white/bright as the desert sun

 

So by now you should have recieved them. How does it look? I'm thinking of going CCFL but would like some more feedback on those that have gone with the LED's.

 

Lexus uses CCFL STOCK.
