are random noises normal in a brand new car???

i know its off topic...
i bought a new TSX and im hearing a few wierd noises...woundering if this is normal in a brand new car??

1. loud scraping, like something in the wheel metal against metal. sounds like dust shield against rotor. but its not touching. also sounds like the squeel from a bad belt. heard a few times and went away.

2. dull click when shifting to drive. my max was a 5spd and never made noise.

3. it also shakes a bit before 1500rpms i dont know if this is normal for these cars or what??

If your not hearing the noise anymore and everything looks good then don't worry about it. You could just take it in and have them check it out. The car is new after all.

Some shifters do click while shifting.

Did you notice the shaking on the test drive or in any other TSX. I would say a new car shouldn't shake but maybe it has bad idle vibration. I doubt this though.

if it does come up more, bring it in. they shouldn't give you any trouble.

I don't think it's normal for any new car to be making weird noises. Maybe you'd have better luck asking in an Acura forum.

Being a brand new car, I don't care how little of a noise you're hearing, take it in. That's why you have a warranty.

My girlfriend's CRV made a groaning noise when the steering wheel was turned all the way to either direction the week after she bought it. She took it down to the dealer, described what was going on, and the fixed it. Hassle free, no questions asked.

I wouldn't definitely have the dealer take a look at all that stuff. Also check for any TSB's for the TSX. I personally HATE rattles and funny noises. I will say this though, I've noticed when its cold (like right now) that cars tend to make more noises...maybe thats just me though.
