R1 Concepts Brake Rotors... opinions?

Hey, I came across these R1 concepts brake rotors on ebay selling for pretty cheap and I was just wondering has anybody had any experience with these or know of anybody who has? what's their quality like and how do they perform compared to a standard brake rotor?

sound like generic ebay crap to me. Do yourself a favor and buy known-brand brake components like Brembo. they're not very expensive, and the braking system is the LAST place you want to go "cheap" on the car.....

That is very true.

If you want to go a cheaper way, Get Z32 calipers w/ 12.6" 6th Gen rotors or do Z32 calipers w/ 13" Cobra rotors

Z32 caliper w/ 13" Cobra rotors is the route I went.

THANKS IRISH!

...who needs brakes? it's weight reduction and eliminating all the rotating mass would = massive amount of acceleration!!!

like normal 1-pot calipers? not close at all. those are 4-pot 300ZX calipers. far from normal or a stock braking system for a Maxima.

LOL! You've been here for 2 years, I would have thought you knew what calipers there were and how great they are, but I guess you are still a newbie at heart

I did, I have Gramlights, but the price of replacing them due to stress fractures now equals a BBK. I wish I got a BBK and 5th gen 5spokes instead of Gramlights.

As for Brembo blanks... aren't those costly? Doesn't Brembo sell their blanks to other companies to relabel them?

Those look nice... do they function well, and how much did they run you?

Yes they function very well. They stop on a dime. I think the total cost is under $500, but I don't remember the actual cost so don't quote me on it.
